First Post!

This is my first official blog post on heather’s not-so-private letters, so I should probably say hi. — Hi! *waves enthusiastically at the computer screen like a nut*

Now that we got that out of the way—I hope you waved back—let’s get to the good stuff.

The introduction on my home page definitely gives you a more in-depth look at what I’m trying to accomplish with heather’s not-so-private letters. In a nutshell—what is it with me and the word nut tonight?—I’m treating this blog like a place where I can meet up with different people from all walks of life, and we can come together and connect like people used to do the more traditional way… (For introverts. I hope you don’t think I meant actually going out and meeting people. Let’s not get too crazy!)

I meant pen pals! Yeah, that’s right. Throwing it back real old school. Just not… the oldest of old school, like socializing at a dinner party or something. That’s… no. We’re not doing that. We’re going to write letters because that’s way more fun. Because that’s kind of what these blogs are. Letters exchanged amongst us as we connect with people from all over the world.

I’m basically blogging my life. It’s not specific to travel or photography or food or fashion… but I’ll probably share fun trips, cool pictures, things I’m eating, and what I’m wearing—Joggers. It’s joggers. It’s always joggers.—when I’m sitting at my desk chatting with y’all. (I’m southern. You’ll have to forgive the y’alls!)

*It’s not joggers right now, though. I’m coming to you all in a hotel room in my pajamas tonight—they have toucans and palm leaves on them and they’re super cute. But I digress. There are things I’ll probably talk about more often than others…

I’m an author, so I love writing. I love reading. I love working out. I love hiking and adventuring. I love humor. I love to laugh. I love all the simple things in life, soaking up all the moments, finding joy in the mundane… and I’ll probably talk about those things, too. A little bit of everything, really.

So no matter what it is you write about, I’m betting we could find ways to connect, become pen pals.

I think it’d be cool.
